Congratulations to the class of 2008-9 who have just completed their dissertations. As our external examiner, Prof Les Back, Goldsmith College, University of London, said: 'It is a gem of a course - intellectually outstanding and internationally recognised. I think some of the graduates of this programme will go on to make a considerable impact in the field and race and ethnic studies'. Well done! |

This one-year postgraduate programme is still the only one of its kind in Ireland, north or south. The programme is run by the Department of Sociology, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy and is well placed in Ireland, where ethnic conflicts and in-migration have been central to the transformation of Irish society. Our graduates are well placed in key policy and research positions in Ireland and internationally.
